World Diamond Tower lobby renovation

A complete lobby renovation in an occupied Fifth Avenue tower: stone, elevator surrounds, ceilings and lighting, with the exterior canopy and signage taken in the same program. The building stayed open throughout, so the work was staged around tenants and visitors moving through the doors every day, with protection, delivery windows and noisy operations all programmed rather than improvised.

Taking the interior and the entrance together is what makes a lobby read as finished. Stone was set out and matched across floor, wall and elevator surround, and the canopy and signage outside were completed alongside it, so the building presented as complete from the street on the same day it did from the inside.
