Local Law 11 (FISP) Violations Removed in New York City

Facade violations cured: inspections, repairs, filings and sidewalk shed removal.

Under Local Law 11, the Facade Inspection and Safety Program, every New York City building taller than six stories must have its facade inspected every five years by a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector and the result filed with the DOB as Safe, SWARMP or Unsafe.

Miss a filing, or leave an Unsafe condition open, and the city imposes escalating penalties, including fines that run monthly, plus a mandatory sidewalk shed at the owner's expense.

We handle the full FISP cycle: QEWI inspections and report filings, facade and parapet repair scopes, permit filings for the restoration work, the repairs themselves performed and signed off, violation dismissal, and finally getting that sidewalk shed down.

This sits inside our Compliance, Expediting & Violations work. The filing and the field work are carried by the same company, so an approval and the repair behind it do not depend on two firms agreeing a program.
