310 East 67th Street, Manhattan
Townhouse renovation with a concrete pool fourteen feet below grade, and underpinning to both neighboring structures.
A concrete pool constructed fourteen feet below grade inside an existing Manhattan townhouse. Reaching that depth meant underpinning the structures to both the north and the south of the property before any excavation could begin.
Underpinning alongside occupied neighbors is the exacting part of a job like this. The adjoining buildings are supported and monitored while the ground beneath them is removed in sequence, pin by pin, each bay taken out and recast before the next is opened. The pool structure itself is reinforced concrete, finished in natural stone.

Send the condition and we will tell you what it takes to put right.
