Structural concrete, 260,000 square feet

Poured in place reinforced structural concrete across a 260,000 square foot project.

Poured in place reinforced concrete at scale. Work of this size is a sequencing problem before it is a concrete problem: forms set, aligned and braced against the pressures of a deep pour, reinforcement tied and inspected, trucks scheduled so placement stays continuous and no cold joint forms, and a finishing crew sized to stay ahead of the concrete rather than behind it.

The forming, the placement and the finish were all self-performed, so the program did not depend on three separate subcontractors arriving on the same morning, and a change at the face could be absorbed the same day.
